Basma Amin and her doodles, comics and monsters.

Basma Amin is an artist from Saudi Arabia, she draws what she calls monsters, takes photos and collaborates with writers and artists. Let’s take a moment to appreciate her work!

Here is 2 of the 35 Artists we featured in our Visual Guide. You can still purchase it in our online store.

Basma started drawing in school our of sheer boredom, it began with colouring in the boxes on her math’s book, to slowly drawing lines and figures in physics classes. She says everything looked horrible but it was fun, so she continued doing it. She is greatly influenced by cartoon network and it’s her main inspiration for her work, as she grew up watching it on a daily basis, the more she drew the more she knew she wanted to create cartoons.

And now, she creates these beautiful cartoon comics exploring love, freedom and emotions.

Have a look at a few of them below.
